Benefits of Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities Students

  • Students who have recently taken admission for the 11th and 12th grades will receive an educational fee (hostel and day scholar) of INR 1,000 per year.
  • Those students who are enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate courses will receive an annual educational fee of INR 3,000 for both pre-degree and post-degree.
  • Beneficiaries studying technical and vocational education courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, apart from UG and PG levels, will receive a monthly allowance of 300 rupees from the Gujarat government, which will be provided for 10 months per year.
  • For M.Phil. students, a care allowance will be provided for 10 months in the academic year along with financial assistance of INR 550 per month for Ph.D. (day scholar).

Eligibility Criteria for Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities

  • The Indian government includes all minority communities like Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains, and all students from these communities are eligible for this scholarship.
  • To apply for this scholarship, the student must be a resident of Gujarat and this scholarship is only for students from Gujarat.
  • The student should have passed their 10th standard from a recognized university, and the beneficiary should be pursuing education in 11th, 12th, graduation, post-graduation, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil, or Ph.D. Students studying below the 10th standard are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • The beneficiary must have scored a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent in the previous examination session.
  • The student’s parents’ annual family income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs, and they need to get all available sources to total to 2.5 lakhs annually. Otherwise, the student won’t be eligible for this scholarship.
